All this makes a lot of sense and even sounds wise. Many of us try to apply it to our lives in an attempt to become better human beings and professionals; however, there is one little, or maybe not so little, thing called procrastination.
The definition of procrastination, when translated from the original Latin, means in favor of tomorrow' and although you might intentionally' postpone your tasks there is an underlying reason why you do it which is irrational, emotional and stored in your subconscious experiences. You might want to loose weight and even though you can see how fat you are and how your health and vitality is deteriorating, you still can' get yourself to exercise.
Why is this? Well, on a rational level it's very obvious that you MUST take action, but on an emotional level it seems to painful to give up the foods you're addicted to and to sacrifice an hour of TV-time to go and kill yourself on the treadmill. Understand that procrastination activities are just that. Get to grips with the real reasons for putting off the task. Argue with yourself over these reason so that you can overcome them. Get started with the task.
This is one of the most powerful procrastination tips and you can liberate yourself by starting to change the way you look at the things that you are procrastinating about. Ask yourself what else can this mean' and instead of saying that you have to do it' say that you choose to do it'. The difference is subtle, but significant. Change the way you look at things and the things will change.

Once again I try to avoid finishing this article. After all, how can I do this topic justice when many people have written and spoken about it before? What will be different that people haven’t already read? What if I miss something really important and can’t go back and change it? I really want to take on the challenge because I am the kind of person who must go to the depths of the most difficult, and yet I wonder—“will I be good enough?” So, I forge ahead in fear and trembling because facing my fear will be good for me, right? Procrastination and/or perfectionism torments most of us to some degree or other. For some of us the two are linked and we become the procrastinating perfectionist.
Probably the most accurate definition of procrastination is that it's the irrational delay, aversion or even evasion of a task or action. It's irrational because we cannot explain this behavior from a rational point of view. We can only explain and understand it from an emotional point of view because the reason why we procrastinate is because at a subconscious level we have an emotional association to the task that prevents us from taking the action. Wanting one thing and then doing the opposite seems stupid and completely irrational, but that is why procrastination can be such an odd behavior to deal with effectively.
When appropriate, make serious attempts to break free from your habitual stronghold pertaining to procrastination. Some people have made putting off things such a habit that an automatic response develops that is quite hard to break. Recognizing that you have a procrastination problem is an important step.
The opposite of using your time effectively is engaging in procrastination - a killer of time management.
Putting off work until tomorrow is not the way you should be working, because you;ll only increasing the pressure. One effective approach is deciding to create new ;get started; habits, and when something arises just take care of it immediately. Getting over that big obstacle is usually what gives people the most trouble. Once you start working on a task, getting it done won;t be a big deal. If you gather the energy to do it, then once you are going then completing whatever it is usually is much easier.
Uncover an inspiring purpose to center your life about and you will naturally reduce your procrastination tendencies. Locating your goal is a strong way to defeat procrastination difficulties because you won't procrastinate on what you enjoy to perform. In case you are suffering from chronic procrastination you may need to take note of the message behind the behavior "You are around the incorrect path, adjust path!" OK.
